Many people call me fi. I guess it’s easier to pronounce, and I like it. Back in my nappy days, I proudly sported my thick absorbent underwear as much as I proudly sported this abbreviated moniker (well at least I don’t remember having any qualms of being named fiona).

So naturally, I’m quite fond of the fi ligature.

Just one simple glyph. It’s a name. It’s a ligature. It’s typographic. And my logo of sorts. So you can imagine how awestruck I was when my dear friend Rob pointed something out yesterday, “Is that the letter ‘y‘ I see??!”

Fucking hell yes.
